FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Milele?

A space to keep your memories, write down your wishes and prepare words for those you love. And, when a loved one passes away, a guide through the formalities and a memorial to honour them.

How much does Milele cost?

The essentials are free. Only one option is paid, the permanent memorial, which is offered to the first 500 members. Milele One urns are quoted on request. See pricing

Who can see what I write?

You choose, item by item: only you, your circle of trust, your family, your friends or everyone. These rules are enforced by the database itself, not just by the display.

Do my wishes have legal value?

No. They guide your loved ones, but they replace neither a will (see a notary for your property, a bequest or the guardianship of a child) nor written, dated and signed medical advance directives.

A loved one has just passed away: where do I start?

The “If someone dies” page gives you the formalities in order, by country, with the deadlines to meet. You can open a file to follow them, share them with the family and keep the documents there. In the event of a death

What is Malaika?

Milele's assistant. She answers your questions about using the site and about the formalities. Her answers are produced by Anthropic's artificial intelligence: your consent is asked before the first message, and every answer can be reported. She does not replace a professional.

Is my data shared?

We do not sell your data and show no advertising. It only passes through the providers that make Milele work (hosting, email, payments, backups) and, if you agree, through Anthropic for Malaika. Security and longevity

How do I get back or delete my data?

At any time, Privacy → Advanced privacy → Data export gives you an archive of everything you have entrusted to Milele, files included. You can also delete your account yourself. Delete my account

Can my child have an account?

You open your own account from age 16. For a younger child, a parent creates a sub-profile that they manage from their own space.

On which devices can I use Milele?

On phone, tablet and computer, from the browser. You can also install it like an app: on Android and Windows the browser offers it; on iPhone, tap Share then “Add to Home Screen”.

Which languages is Milele available in?

In French, English, Spanish and Swahili. You can change language at any time.

How do I reach the team?
